DAY 1 INSTRUCTIONS

Next Steps: Calling with Day 1 of your period It is important to call on Day 1 of your cycle and leave a voicemail with your full name (please spell your last name), date of birth and date your period started, in one of the vm boxes listed below:

  • IVF (extension 8117)
  • Fertility-Gyne (extension 8064)
  • Sasaki patients (extension 1105)
  • Spotting is not considered Day 1. Please only call when you have begun a full flow.
  • If your period starts on the weekend or after office hours, do not wait until the office is open to call. Follow the prompts and leave a message in the appropriate voicemail box.
  • A nurse will call you back to confirm your voicemail was received during regular office hours and advise of you of your next steps.
  • If you also need a Hysterosonogram/Femvue (water filled ultrasound) between Day 6-12, a nurse will let our Sonographers know and you will receive a separate call to schedule your HSN/Femvue.
  • IVF Patients: You will receive an IVF Checklist through your portal within a week.

RECOMMENDED DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS

Dr. Miller would like all patients that are attempting pregnancy to be on the following supplements items:

FEMALE patients:

  1. Prenatal vitamin with DHA—stay on daily and will continue with pregnancy (Prenatal Vitamins are available over the counter and most insurance does not cover prescription prenatal vitamins.  However, if you want a prescription, please reach out to your nurse).
  2. Pregnitude Reproductive Support Dietary Supplement (includes Folic Acid 200mcg & Myo-Inositol 2000mg)—it is a powder that is mixed with 8 oz of water and take twice a day.  It can be purchased on-line at www.Pregnitude.com—stop with pregnancy
  3. Coenzyme Q10 600mg per day orally—stop with pregnancy
  4. Calcium—1000-1300 mg per day orally—stop with pregnancy
  5. Vitamin D—400 – 800 IU per day orally—stop with pregnancy

You do not need a prescription for any of these medications.If the following supplement is recommended:

  • DHEA –25mg tablet orally three times per day…stop with stimulation medications.

MALE patients: 

  1. Multivitamin—1 tablet daily
  2. Ester C—500 mg per day
  3. Coenzyme Q10 (preferably Ubiquinol formation) 200 mg per day

**If you were told previously to use Proxeed, you will no longer need to take that supplement since the Ester C and Coenzyme are excellent anti-oxidants, which is the main role of Proxeed when you take the above male supplements.
